Mizner Bark Dog Park, Boca Raton
Three fenced areas sorted by weight, water on tap, and a Wednesday morning closure that catches people out every week.
The Wednesday thing
Mizner Bark opens at 7 in the morning six days a week and at noon on Wednesdays. That half-day is maintenance, it is not seasonal, and it is the single most common wasted trip to this park. If your dog walk is a fixed morning habit, Wednesday is the day to go somewhere else.
Three gates, not two
Most dog parks split large and small. This one splits three ways: over 50 pounds, 20 to 50, and under 20. It matters for the middle-sized dog who gets bowled over in a large-dog pen and bullies everyone in a small one. A 35-pound dog finally has a room of its own here.
Residents park free
The vehicle permit is free if you live in Boca Raton and expensive if you do not. Non-residents pay by the month if they only come in season, which is usually the cheaper way to do a winter.
What we do here
We photograph dogs in this park for free and publish dog-only frames: owners and bystanders are framed out, and a frame with a recognisable person is cropped or dropped before anything goes on the site. The files are yours, at no charge.
