Central Animal Hospital has been on West Royal Palm Road since 1975, a couple of streets from Mizner Park. Dr. Cade Lavengco runs it.
The useful part for a dog owner is the clock. They are open until 11 pm every single day, including Sunday, and they keep an urgent care window from 4 pm to 11 pm daily for the things that go wrong after everyone else has closed. Call first on the way in.
General practice underneath that: surgery, dentistry, x-ray, ultrasound, internal medicine, laser therapy, pain management, hospice and an in-house pharmacy. Daycare and boarding run on the same site under the name Central Dogs.
One caution from their own pages: they describe themselves as available around the clock, but the hours they publish close at 11 pm and Sunday has a break in the middle. Go by the posted hours.
